解決無(wú)法安裝VMWARE Tools的問(wèn)題

在此次解決解決無(wú)法安裝VMWARE Tools的問(wèn)題的例子中，筆者采用的環(huán)境如下：

主機(jī)：win xp sp2 虛擬平臺(tái)：VMWARE 4.5.2 在其上安裝RedHat9.0。

無(wú)法安裝VMWARE Tools的問(wèn)題現(xiàn)象：能夠進(jìn)入圖形界面，但是總是提示沒(méi)有安裝VMWARE Tools。具體如下：

A previous installation of VMware software has been detected.

The previous installation was made by the tar installer (version 3).

Keeping the tar3 installer database format.

Uninstalling the tar installation of VMware Tools.

Stopping VMware Tools services in the virtual machine:

Guest operating system daemon: [ 確定 ]

The removal of VMware Tools 4.5.2 build-8848 for linux completed successfully.

無(wú)法安裝VMWARE Tools的問(wèn)題原因：沒(méi)有配置該工具。vmware-config-tools.pl需要根據(jù)你的顯示器分辨率進(jìn)行配置，然后才能加強(qiáng)鼠標(biāo)功能。

解決：需要進(jìn)行如下操作：

#init 3（保證在超級(jí)用戶模式下，進(jìn)入文字界面）

然后輸入

login：root

password：

#cd /usr/bin

#vmware-config-tools.pl

然后根據(jù)提示設(shè)置，完成后reboot一下，這個(gè)無(wú)法安裝VMWARE Tools的問(wèn)題就可以解決了。
